Shawnee is a 1978 Hardin 44 ketch kept in Portland, Oregon. This site began in 2010 as her own website and is now a reference for Hardin sailboats: the builder's history, the models and their particulars, the owners' boats, and the yards and specialists that look after Taiwan-built teak yachts.
How records are sourced
Every record lists its sources. They include US Coast Guard documentation records, published builder and model databases, archived pages of earlier Hardin websites, owners' own pages and forum posts, and sale listings. Claims that are not yet confirmed are marked "under investigation" or "conflicting" where they appear.
Photographs and owners
Photographs of Shawnee are the owner's own. Photographs of other boats appear only with the owner's permission or under an open licence. Owner names are not published unless the owner agrees.
